Career Options/Outlook:

Sociologists with advanced degrees and professional certificates have a broad range of employment opportunities including, but not limited to teachers, social workers, probation officers, employment counselors, urban planners and data analysts. Career opportunities require more than two years of college study.

This field studies human society and social behavior by examining the groups and social institutions that people form and various social, religious, political, and business organizations. It may also include studying the behavior and interaction of groups, tracing their origin and growth, and analyzing the influence of group activities on individual members.
