Film, Television and Electronic Media AS-T Degree - California State University GE Breadth

This program provides students with a major that fulfills the general requirements of the California State University for transfer to baccalaureate degree programs in film, television and electronic media.  Students with this degree will receive priority admission with junior status to the CSU system.  This AS degree is comprised of lower division coursework typically required by CSU institutions.

Producers plan and coordinate various aspects of radio, television, stage or motion picture production, such as selecting script, coordinating writing, directing and edition, and arranging financing.  Typical tasks may include writing and editing news stores from information collected by reporters and other sources; coordinating the activates of writers, directors, managers, and other personnel throughout the production process; reviewing film, recordings, or rehearsals to ensure conformance to production and broadcast standards.  Career opportunities require more than an associate degree.
