Music AA-T Degree - Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum, Univ of Cal or Cal State Univ

Students seeking both the AA-T and AA degree in music should take MUP 310, MUP 330, MUP 357 or MUP 360.  For the AA-T, MUP 312, 335, 358 or 362 are required.  Please see the Music Counselor or Music Department Chair for more information.

There are diverse career opportunities with a degree in music.  For example, Secondary School Music Teachers teach students in one or more subjects, such as English, mathematics, or social studies, at the secondary level in public or private schools. May be designated according to the subject matter specialty. Play one or more musical instruments in recital, in accompaniment, or as members of an orchestra, band, or other musical groups. Career opportunities require more than an associate degree.

Honors option:

The CRC Honors Program is designed specifically for academically accomplished students and for students with the potential for high achievement. Students who complete 15 units or more in honors-designated courses will earn special recognition as an Honors Scholar, a distinction that may entitle the student to guaranteed transfer and scholarship opportunities at select transfer colleges and universities.
