The Environmental Studies & Sustainability Program is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary course of study that presents a broad overview of ecological issues from a variety of perspectives in the natural, physical, and social sciences. The coursework examines the interplay between natural and social systems and the ideological foundations of humankind’s attitudes and behaviors with respect to their ever-changing environment.
Environmental Scientists and Specialists conduct research or perform investigations to identify, abate, or eliminate sources of pollutants or hazards that affect the environment or the population\'s health. Using knowledge of various scientific disciplines, may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, food, soil, water, and other sources. Career opportunities require more than two years of college study.
