Music, General A.A. Degree

The CRC music program incudes vocal and instrumental components as well as courses on music, history theory and electronic music.  This program is designed to provide students with a foundation in music theory and history, in addition to allowing a choice of instrumental keyboard, or vocal performance areas in which they may specialize.

There are diverse career opportunities with a degree in music.  For example, Secondary School Music Teachers teach students in one or more subjects, such as English, mathematics, or social studies at the secondary level in public or private schools. May be designated according to subject matter specialty. Play one or more musical instruments in recital, in accompaniment, or as members of an orchestra, band, or other musical groups. Career opportunities require more than an associate degree.
