This AA-T provides a curricular track for students who wish to transfer to a CSU campus while also serving the diverse needs of students interested in the breadth and depth of the field of history. Additionally, this degree exposes students to the core principles and practices of studying history to build a foundation for their future personal, academic, and professional paths.
Many career opportunities are possible with a degree in History, such as journalist, archivist, government service, researcher/analyst, attorney or professor. Postsecondary History Professors teach courses in human history and historiography. Includes both teachers primarily engaged in teaching and those who do a combination of teaching and research. Career opportunities require more than an associate degree.
