Career Options:

This certificate prepares students to be American Sign Language / English interpreters.

Scheduling Notes:

INTRP 300, 301, 303, 320, 334, 336, 340, 342, 344, 349, and 352 are offered in the fall.
INTRP 305, 307, 310, 312, 314, 325, 330,332, 350, 354, and 356 are offered in the spring.
DEAF 370 is offered in the fall.
DEAF 352 and 355 are offered in the spring.
DEAF 318 and 351 are offered in the fall and spring.

Other Notes:

Students must have a high school diploma, GED, CHSPE or higher to enter the program.
The ASL-English Interpreter Preparation program currently accepts students once per year for the fall semester, which begins in August. The deadline to submit an application is the second Friday in April.
The selection process includes an interview/screening process conducted by the Interpreter Preparation Program.
Only students who meet the pre-enrollment requirements and follow the pre-enrollment process will be considered for the program.
