Career path

Career Options:

Potential careers include auto body repairman, auto body repair technician, and fabricator.

Potential employers include automotive dealerships, heavy duty dealerships, government agencies, and independent auto shops.

Scheduling Notes:

  • All ACT courses are offered at the Mather Center. The AT courses are offered at the ARC main campus.

Other Notes:

  • Accidents happen on the roadways and trained technicians are needed to fix the damage. Our instructors bring real-world experience to teach the skills needed to reshape and restore a variety of vehicles. Training is given in both theory and practical skills. Students receive practical on-the-job skills from frame to fully repaired body fabrication.
  • An internship (ACT 298) is required as it opens up potential employment opportunities. Students can earn at least 4 units for related paid or unpaid work experience including volunteer and internship positions through ACT 298.  See the Work Experience website for more information.
