This certificate prepares students for licensure as paramedics, working for a fire department, rescue squad, private provider, industry, clinic, or hospital.

Scheduling Notes:

  • PMED 114 and 115 are offered sequentially in the spring.
  • PMED 121 is offered in the summer.
  • PMED 131 is offered in the fall.

  • Students must have a high school diploma, GED, CHSPE or higher to enter the program.
  • To enroll in this program, students must have a current EMT-Basic certification and approximately one year of verified EMS experience or a minimum of 280 verifiable EMS patient encounters acting as a team lead.
