Scheduling Notes:

  • SLPA 115, 118, 120, and 127 are offered in the fall.
  • SLPA 110 and 121 are offered in the spring.
  • All SLPA courses are offered in the evening except SLPA 115, which is scheduled two days a week in the afternoon because of the lab component of working in the ARC Child Development Center.
  • SLPA 121 requires students to complete 162 hours of supervised field experience during the day.
  • Although the lecture portion of SLPA 118 is offered in the evening, a few pre-determined days are required for at the ARC Child Development Center for lab work.

Other Notes:

  • This program can be started in the spring as well. See a counselor to adjust the coursework.
  • SLPA 115 and 118 require a medical clearance, including TB clearance (within 12 months), measles vaccination, pertussis vaccination, and (optional) flu vaccination.
  • SLPA 121 has the requirements of TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, Live Scan, and malpractice insurance.
