The Liberal Studies for Elementary Education Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree prepares students for careers in education, child development, and related fields. This degree is primarily designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree and earn a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, which is required for teaching in elementary schools (grades K-6). Career opportunities require more than an associate’s degree.
