Program Notes:

Enrollment Eligibility:

To be eligible for enrollment in the program, the student must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete an audition for Applied Music prior to the 1st semester of enrollment.
  • Meet eligibility for enrollment in MUFHL 400 by taking MUFHL 321 (offered each summer) or passing the challenge exam.
  • Enroll in an ensemble course (MUP series) each semester of enrollment in the program.

Enrollment Process:

Eligible students are selected for the program according to the following steps:

  • Contact Music Dept. Chair to schedule audition for MUIVI 420.
  • Enroll in MUFHL 321 or contact Music Dept. Chair to take challenge exam prior to beginning of Fall term.
  • Meet with counseling staff to declare major.

AP scores can be used to meet Folsom Lake College associate degree general education , CSU,UC, and other 4 year University requirements --Check with your counselor to determine whether these test results will be accepted at the transfer institution of your choice.
