Music Theory Certificate

Completion of this certificate provides students with an introductory foundation to the techniques and best practices of music in a variety of historical and cultural contexts. The certificate includes classes in tonal music practices as they originally developed in the Western world and have since expanded globally. Students pursuing an AA or AA-T in Music may complete this certificate as part of their coursework; please consult a counselor for more information.
